Hollow Fiber Membranes for Membrane Bioreactor Applications in Wastewater Treatment

HYDRAsub^® is used for MBR applications to treat any effluent (sewage or industrial source) with a significant biological activity. Compared to conventional activated sludge treatment, HYDRAsub^® produces high quality permeate water suitable for RO treatment and reduces drastically footprint by elimination of sedimentation tank and operation at higher MLSS.

HYDRAsub^® modules are comprised of PVDF hollow fiber elements, permeate adaptors, stainless steel cages and a unique air diffuser design. The modules are available in a wide range of sizes from 25 to 1500 m2 membrane area, covering all ranges of flow. HYDRAsub^® elements can be provided in two formats: standard size of 25 m2 or smaller size of 15 m2, ideal for containerized applications.

HYDRAsub^® modules can be operated at very high flux (34 Lmh or 20 gfd average for municipal applications at 20 degrees Celsius) resulting in CAPEX savings and lower footprint. The supported PVDF fiber and the simple operating process are two important advantages leading to a reliable and robust product
